Kore 87 Ti W
Head Kore 87 Ti W Skis
This isn't just the men's Kore with a new topsheet — Head rebuilt the 87 Ti from the ground up around a construction and geometry tuned specifically for women, and it shows in how the ski actually skis rather than just how it's marketed.
The mount point sits slightly closer to center than the standard Kore Ti line, matching a woman's center of gravity more precisely, and the payoff is a ski that initiates turns naturally rather than needing to be muscled into them. It's more directional and confident than its predecessor while staying just as agile — quick edge-to-edge, lively underfoot, without ever feeling twitchy.
A women's-specific poplar and PET wood core keeps the swing weight low and the feel responsive, while two layers of titanal (partly recycled) bring the rigidity and dampening needed to hold an edge at speed. Flax fiber woven through the layup soaks up vibration, and graphene underfoot adds snap without adding bulk. The biggest improvement lands on hardpack: where the outgoing model could feel nervous and chattery on firm snow, this one settles into something calmer and more composed, without losing its playful character in the process.
The tip-and-tail rocker is tuned for versatility rather than one specialty — enough camber underfoot for solid edge hold, tip rocker for float when the snow turns soft, and a touch of tail rocker for skiers who like to ride switch. A reinforced top surface stands up to the season's inevitable chips and scratches better than most.
Who should skip it: a groomer purist who wants maximum stability above all else and doesn't care about playfulness elsewhere on the mountain. For nearly everyone else — intermediate through expert — this is a do-it-all ski that doesn't ask for compromise.
